Roofing SEO: get more roofing calls from Google Maps
When a roof starts leaking, many homeowners search “roofer near me”, look at the map and call one of the first roofers they see. Roofing SEO is the work that helps your company show up on that map, in the towns you serve.
Why the map matters for roofers
Roofing jobs are big and often urgent. A homeowner with water coming through the ceiling calls someone that day. Google shows a map with a few roofing companies above the normal search results, and many homeowners call one of those.
What decides who shows up is your Google Business Profile: your category, services, service area, reviews and how active the profile is. You don’t need to rank your website first to get calls from the map.
What we set up for a roofing company
- The right category. “Roofing contractor” as your main category, plus extra categories only for work you really do, like gutters.
- Your services, in homeowner words. Roof leak repair, roof replacement, shingle repair, flat roof repair, roof inspection. We list only the jobs you actually take.
- A service area, not a home address. Most roofers work from home or a yard that customers never visit. Google’s rules say to hide that address and list the towns you serve. We do that for you.
- Job photos. Real photos of your crews and finished roofs, added regularly. They show homeowners, and Google, that you’re working.
- Listings on other sites. Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp and local directories, with the same name and phone number everywhere. If you’re certified by a roofing-material maker, we make sure your “find a contractor” listing matches too.
- A review system. A simple way to ask every customer for a Google review right after the job is done.
What we do every month
We post to your profile every week, with finished jobs, seasonal checks and offers. Review requests keep going out after each job. We keep your hours, photos and services up to date. Each month you get a plain-English report with your calls, direction requests and a rank map that shows where you appear across your area. Our Google Maps guide explains the whole process step by step.
What we won’t do
Some roofers try to show up in more towns with virtual offices or fake addresses. That breaks Google’s rules and is a fast way to get a profile suspended. We also don’t buy reviews, offer customers anything for them, or stuff keywords like “best roofer” into your business name.
What it costs
Roofing SEO is part of our Google Business Profile management, at $299 a month. For $499 a month, we also build and run a website about your roofing services and the towns you cover. Both plans have a 3-month minimum, then you pay month to month. See both plans or read exactly what we do each month.
Both plans come with the Double Your Calls Guarantee. If your calls from Google haven’t doubled by month 3, we keep working for free until they do. It covers businesses we approve on the rank review. Read the full terms.
Questions roofers ask
Do I have to show my home address on Google?
No. If customers don’t come to your address, Google’s rules say to hide it and set a service area instead. We set that up for you.
Can I show up in towns where I don’t have an office?
You can show up across the area you serve, but Google still favours businesses close to the person searching. A clear service area, good reviews and an active profile give you the best chance further out. Nobody can promise it.
Should I get a virtual office to show up in more towns?
No. Virtual offices and fake addresses break Google’s rules, and they are a common reason roofing profiles get suspended.
How long until I get more roofing calls?
Setup is done in month one. Calls build over the next few months as Google picks up the changes. That’s why there’s a 3-month minimum.
Do you only work with roofers?
No. We work with many kinds of local businesses. This page explains how the work fits a roofing company.
